Saturday 21st April saw the launch of "For a Positive change" at Al Noor Primary school. "For a Positive Change" is one of the many initiatives launched by the Al Noor Foundation to take ownership and responsibility in our communities and have a positive impact on our surroundings. Al-Noor Foundation strongly believes in involving its children, staff, parents and friends in its important work towards community service and improving cohesion amongst all the different communities that live in this diverse borough.

The pupils of Al Noor school created and hosted a week long exhibition to celebrate Islam Awareness Week 2012.The week long event offered local schools the opportunity to come and see for themselves what Islam means and learn about various different aspects of Islam. The school hosted almost 300 pupils over the week as schools from across Redbridge took advantage of the opportunity to visit Al Noor. Year Six had a successful trip on Monday 20th February 2012 to the Science Museum! Pupils took part in an interactive 'Feel the Forces' show to consolidate knowledge on forces. They moved onto experiencing the hands on gallery - launchpad. Ending the day with a thoughtful look at how energy is used around the world and improving ways energy is created and consumed around the world. Overall, a fantastic fun-filled day with lots of learning and enjoyment!
